Lease (and counterpart) for 99 years from 25 Dec 1868, rent £180 yearly, 6 Mar 1869; (i) Robert Eaton, late of Brynymor, franchise of town of Swansea, but now of Chew Magna, near city of Bristol, esquire, to (ii) Edward Bath of Westbrook, franchise of town of Swansea, esquire: Site of dwellinghouse called Brynymor in franchise of town of Swansea with outbuildings, gardens, shrubberies and pleasure ground thereunto belonging containing by admeasurement 5 acres and 1 rood or thereabouts, which premises were late in occupation of (i). Together with full and free liberty for (ii), his executors, administrators and assigns to build on premises hereby demised messuages and buildings and to rebuild or reinstate messuage on site of dwellinghouse called Brynymor. (Except and always reserved out of this present demise unto (i), his heirs or assigns or other person or persons entitled to same all mines, veins and seams of coal and culm, iron-stone and iron-ore and all quarries of stone and slate and all other mines and minerals whatsoever in, under or upon premises).
