Power of attorney, 8 May 1822; James Amos, late of Saint Helens place, Bishopsgate Street, city of London, but now residing in city of Philadelphia in United States of America, esquire, to Andrew Amos of Temple, city of London, esquire and John Edwards of Rheola, esquire: James Amos doth appoint and in his place and stead put Andrew Amos and John Edwards or either of them true and lawful attorney irrevocable of him, said James Amos, for him and in his name, place and stead and as his act and deed to sign, seal, deliver and execute indentures of lease and release of 2 and 3 Oct 1820 (see D/D SB 15/46/1, 2). And also for him and on his behalf to subscribe to receipt written on back of said indenture of release the name of him the said James Amos. And further for him and in his name and as his act and deed to do and perfect all and every other act, matter and thing whatsoever which shall or may be deemed necessary proper or expedient for fully, absolutely and effectually vesting and transferring hereditaments and premises and rents, issues and profits thereof and all his estate, right and title therein or thereto in and to Robert Eaton, his heirs, appointees and assigns as fully, amply and beneficially to all intents, constructions and purposes whatsoever as he, said James Amos, might or could do if personally present and these presents had not been made; Recites deeds, 2 Oct 1820-25 Mar 1821
