This series consists of general correspondence which had not been sorted into files by DW. Correspondents include writers, biographers, academics, booksellers and WO enthusiasts; significant individuals represented here include D.J. Enright, John Haffenden, Dominic Hibberd and Peter Owen. Whereas the correspondence files in DSW/1/3/1 largely focus on DW's research for 'The posthumous life of Wilfred Owen', this correspondence is more varied in its subject matter. It does include some reference to DW's work on the 'Posthumous life', but also covers topics such as: centenary events arranged by the WO Association in Shropshire in 1993; a memorial plaque to WO unveiled in Manchester Cathedral in May 1997; DW's research visits to the Harry Ransom Center in Texas; and his renewed interest in obtaining rare or second-hand books with relevance to WO.

Scope and Content
This correspondence was found among the many loose, unsorted papers dating from this period; in contrast to the correspondence in DSW/1/3/1, none of this had been arranged into files by DW, although some of it was in loose bundles. Here, any original bundles are retained; otherwise the material is bundled together by correspondent, and arranged in a single chronological sequence.
