Scope and Content

A series of ten volumes containing the minutes of the principal committees of the Society, including Council and Finance & General Purposes Committee, dating from 1943-1963.

The collection also includes a volume containing minutes from the Central Examining Authority, dated 1953-1966.

Administrative / Biographical History

The Society was formed in 1944 as the professional body for ground engineers in the civil aviation industry. It amalgamated with the Royal Aeronautical Society in 1987.
