Newspaper cuttings about the proposed demolition of Telford's suspension bridge in Conway. The Council promoted a Parliamentary Bill seeking powers to demolish the bridge, which had fallen into some disrepair since the opening of the new road bridge in 1958. A poll of the local electorate had supported the Council's decision, although the view was expressed in some quarters that many may have voted in favour of demolition by mistake, due to obscure wording on the voting form.
