Meroë site 295: female statue, front

Scope and Content

Image of the front of a nude female statue discovered at site 295, after restoration. Hand written note with negative states 'Meroë Print L69'. Album print marked '295 M12'.

Physical Characteristics and/or Technical Requirements

A process has been used to remove most of the emulsion from the glass, leaving only the image of the statue. Album print appears to have been created before the emulsion was removed.

Separated Material

The statue is now in the Sudan National Museum, Khartoum, (538).
