General view taken from north enclosure wall of the Royal City. Site 998/924 can be seen in the foreground. Street 925 can be seen going from left to right in the centre of the image. Site 996/929/927 can be seen in the background. Appears to have been taken at the end of the final season of excavations. Album print labelled ‘Meroë, Royal City NW, panorama east’.
