Scope and Content

Image of 5 restored cream ware vessels, including (from left) a cup with an impressed pattern; a cup with a painted neck and frieze representing a string of beads; a cup decorated with dark brown figure possibly playing a drum; a hemispherical bowl decorated with stars on the interior and base decorated with a large rosette and a geometrical pattern; an unusual cup with spiked leaf decoration (reconstructed with fragments from site 923). Handwritten note with negative states 'Meroë Album N2. 29'.

Separated Material

The vessel on the far right is now in the Louvre, Paris.

The vessels can also be seen in JG/M/NA/28. Three of the fragments from the vessel on the far right was created from are held by the Garstang Museum.
