County council papers (Clwyd and Denbighshire) , photographs and other miscellanea accumulated by Marian Lyons during her time as Council Leader.

Marian Lyons was a nurse by profession and served as Councillor for Abergele Urban District Council from 1963. From 1964 she served as a Denbighshire County Councillor for Abergele District. In 1974, when Denbighshire and Flintshire merged to form Clwyd she was elected as the new county's first leader becoming the first woman to serve as council leader in the UK.

Marian Lyons died on 11th January 2017, aged 94.
