Bundle of papers stored in the same book file, which relate to the scripts and performances of the two plays by Warner contained in this file, as well as to his later play Meeting ends (the book file for this is at CPA/1/1/1/112). All the plays were first performed at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe - Maquettesin 1970, Lying figures in 1971 and Meeting ends in 1973. These papers were probably sent to Schmidt by the author who notes sending such material in some of his letters (see correspondence file at CPA/2/1/73). The material includes: reviews of both the published scripts and Edinburgh performances of the plays photocopied from newspapers; programmes for Maquettes; a photograph from a production of Meeting ends; and a press release relating to Warner's receipt of the Messing Award. The file also includes: a copy letter to Warner from Schmidt dated 3 January 1972, relating to the financial problems of Carcanet Press which prevents them from starting a drama list; notes on the possibility of such a list; letters from Warner to Peter [Jones] dated 22 November 1972 and to Schmidt dated 24 February 1972; and invoices from the printers for preparing Lying figures and Maquettes.
