Bundle of surviving manuscript material for the issue which is not stored with proofs as in /2. This consists of material from the reports, letters, notes and news sections, as well as two essays and three book reviews. Some of this material was probably typeset in-house and some of it sent away for typesetting. It is in the form of typescripts, copy typescripts or photocopies from publications submitted by contributors, and the correspondence is largely in the form of original letters. It consists of: letters from Tony Lucas, C.H. Sisson (response to Lucas), Laura (Riding) Jackson; part of the notes and news section; essays by Jeremy Hooker and George Steiner (2 copies of the latter, an offprint and a photocopy); book reviews by John Pilling (with covering letter), C.J. Fox and Neil Powell.
