Holograph and typescript poems

Scope and Content

Large bundle of holograph and typescript poems from which Michael Schmidt selected those which ultimately made up the volume. Many of these did not find their way into the final selection, and at least three which were included in the final publication are not included here. The typed and photocopied poems listed at 105-202 include many of the originals which were photocopied to form the final version of the typescript listed in CPA/1/1/1/47/2. Some of them have annotations by Jennings, including ticks or question marks which probably marked her preferences. In the list below, the poems at sheets 1-67 and 69-104 are holograph, 115, 137 and 196-197 are photocopies of holograph poems, and 68, 105-195 and 198-202 are either typescript, carbon or photocopied typescript or were photocopied from publications. Appraisal Information

There was originally an additional bundle of poems stored between sheets 67 and 69 as listed below. All of these except one ('Kept Waiting' at 68 which does not appear elsewhere) have been disposed of as they were photocopies of the originals at sheets 105-202, and were also identical to many of the photocopies which formed the typescript of the collection (in CPA/1/1/1/47/2).
