Scope and Content

File containing the manuscript of Three Russian poets: Margarita Aliger, Yunna Moritz, Bella Akhmadulina, edited and translated by Elaine Feinstein (Manchester: Carcanet New Press, 1979). The manuscript consists of Feinstein's introduction and the translations, all in uniform typescript. Some emendations to the introduction in blue ink are probably by Feinstein. Another hand has marked the manuscript up with typesetting instructions in blue and red. Includes an additional second version of Akhmadulina's 'For how many years' which has been crossed through.

The manuscript has original foliation, and the numbering sequence runs as follows: introduction numbered i-viii; unnumbered part-title; foliation running 1-68 but lacking 63 (due to a numbering error; no text is missing).
