Scope and Content

Manuscript of the volume, consisting of: ribbon and carbon typescripts of the essays included, most of which probably date from the time of their initial publication rather than being retyped versions; one photocopied version of a published article; and preliminary typed pages added by Carcanet. The manuscript has been marked up for printing by Warner, in red and blue ink and pencil. Further pencilled instructions were made by the printers. The manuscript has been foliated throughout by Warner. With a typescript list of instructions for the printers.


The manuscript bears its original foliation added by Warner, although there is one additional insert, and original folios 19, 22-23 and 27 are missing. The archivist has added running numbering throughout at the top left-hand corner of each sheet.
