File containing the collated proofs of Scottish satirical verse: an anthology, edited by Edwin Morgan (Manchester: Carcanet New Press, 1980). The book was typeset in-house and printed by Billings. Margaret Hutchinson was responsible for collating the proofs. These proofs consist of the entire volume from Morgan's introduction onwards, although here the glossary precedes the notes at the end of the volume (this order was reversed for publication). The first page of the proofs has been initialled by Hutchinson and dated as collated on 21 March 1980; she also dates the main text of the anthology as collated on 27 August 1979, and the text and glossary on 18 September 1979. The author's proofs have been used as the basis of this collated set, and here the corrections in blue are by Morgan; Hutchinson has added further corrections in green; and some minor annotation in red has been added by a Carcanet editor (probably Peter Jones). Stored with: Morgan's typescript contents list, which has been marked up for printing; letter from Morgan to Schmidt dated 9 March 1980, in which he encloses acknowledgements for the volume; and letter from Morgan to Hutchinson dated 19 March 1980 sent to accompany his set of proofs, with a further note indicating that Hutchinson forwarded the proofs to Peter [Jones] on 21 March 1980.
