The River Dee Company was formed on 25 Mar 1741 (cf. D/LA/21) to exploit the contract which vested all lands in Nathaniel Kinderley and Company in pursuance of the 1732 River Dee Act. In 1889 as a result of the Dee Conservancy Act most of the powers of the River Dee Company passed to the Dee Conservancy Board. In 1906 the greater part of the Company's property and land was sold.
