Scope and Content

By an Act of 1743, 17 Geo II cap.28, the Mayor and Corporation of Chester were empowered to appoint two supervisors of the Navigation of the Dee who were to take soundings of the river from time to time, and attested copies of the same to be deposited with the Clerk of the Peace.
