Typescript report describing tour of North America, Oct 1941 - Feb 1942. States that Royden was invited on the 'mission' by the Federal Council of Churches and supported (though not financially) by the British Ministry of Information. Sail to Norfolk, Virginia on a cargo boat carrying a large gun; 11 passengers including Sir John Orr; misunderstanding leads to reports of Royden's death in the New York Times; missions in Lynchburg, Virginia and Utica, New York; hear news of the bombing of Pearl Harbour while in Philadelphia; visit to St Louis; return journey home on a Belgian cargo boat to Preston, Lancashire.

With manuscript notes detailing dates of arrival and departure; calendar showing dates of arrival in East River and sailings to Halifax and Preston; names of boats they sailed on.
