LETTER: Telly [Beaumaris area] to [?] mentioning William and a Mr Davids who had been officiated clergyman there. The sender thought something was amiss with her sister Eccles and was surprised and angry at not hearing from Mary E. The sender found every article there more reasonable than in Chester apart from coal and washing. William had been fishing for trout. Salt water fish was very reasonable, salt herrings were brought there from the Isle of Man. The Welsh as well as the Irish live totally on herring and potato, most of the women wear the man's round hat with a very broad brim and all kept in high order.
