Administrative / Biographical History
Mairi MacKenzie MacPherson was born in 1961. She attended the University of Glasgow from 1979-1983 , taking classes in English Literature (Ordinary), Modern History (Ordinary) and Scottish History (Ordinary) in her first year; Modern History (Higher), English Literature (Intermediate Honours) and Moral Philosophy (Ordinary) in her second; Medieval History (Higher) and History (Junior Honours) in her third, and Medieval and Modern History (Senior Honours) in her fourth and final year. Mairi graduated with a second class honours MA in Medieval and Modern History in June 1983 and subsequently became a teacher in Kelty, Fifeshire.
