Letters, reports and other papers regarding Berkeley's career, including material concerning the Indian Mutiny (1857). The collection includes a printed 'Record of the services of Mr L. Berkeley', comprising extracts from official correspondence, and a manuscript list of Berkeley's posts and leave while stationed in the Punjab. There is also material relating to 'Uncle' Leopold Oliver Fitzhardinge Berkeley, Extra Assistant Commissioner, and his death in the Googairah District, aged 27, during fighting on 21 September 1857.
