Solomon was a surgeon in Manchester in the late eighteenth century, who died in 1796. In his will, he gave substantial sums of money to named children and grandchildren, except for his son Solomon Solomon, to whom he gave 1 shilling, and directed that he 'shall not be entitled to any other benefit under this will'.
