Two 18th century transcripts of Brut y Tywysogion. One in the hand of Rev. Evan Evans (Ieuan Fardd) and copied from the Red Book of Hergest. The other bears no mark of authorship, but the hand is very similar to the first and has been transcribed from a different version.
Also, a published volume of the work, 1860, which was the working copy of Sir John Lloyd, containing his marginal annotations and corrections.
According to The Oxford Companion to the Literature of Wales, Brut y Tywysogion is a chronicle of the princes, beginning with the death of Cadwaladr Fendigaid in 682 and ending with the death of Llywelyn ap Gruffydd in 1282. The chronicle is found in two versions which are translations of a lost Latin text written as a continuation of Geoffrey of Monmouth's Historia Regum Britanniae.

The transcripts appear to have been originally in the possession of the Nanhoron family and were bought by W. J. Elliss of the Ship Hotel, Aberdaron at the Gelliwig (Llyn) sale in October 1954 and presented by him to the Library.
