Correspondence relating to Elgar

Scope and Content

This sub-seriescontains correspondence relating to MK's research for his volume, Portrait of Elgar (London: Oxford University Press, 1968), as well as letters concerning its publication. Of most interest is the bundle of letters sent to MK by Elgar's daughter, Carice Elgar Blake (1890-1970), who read the volume in typescript, offered comments and suggested corrections.
