Mail Art. The playful, absurd graphic imagery on this envelope blends towers (Pisa drawn, Eiffel on stamps) and heads/masks. The central element, an arabesque frame on a box, uses a figure and details similar to those in Musa’s illustrated story books: Contes des calligraphes et des sultans (1994; 2nd edition 2002); Lʼhomme caché: Conte soufi du Soudan (1997; English version The Hidden Man).
[untitled, with three heads or masks]
