Booklet with full text of the 'Masque of Shakespeare', 'A Masque setting forth the true honouring of our rare and precious poet William Shakespeare', with list of characters of the play included at the beginning.

The 'Masque of Shakespeare' is a play featuring figures from Shakespeare dramas as characters, as well as famous Shakespearean actors from the 18th-19th century. There are no indications as to whether the Masque of Shakespeare was performed. The date of [1911-1912] is speculative.

Book is 15cm high x 13cm width. Bound with metal staples, now rusted. Spine decorated with black ribbon. Front cover title 'The Masque of Shakespeare' lightly embossed in red; decorated with circular logo of the 'Shakespeare Memorial National Theatre, 1916', also lightly embossed in red; logo features image of Shakespeare with the muses of tragedy and comedy, and the year 1616.
