Fundraising and donations

This material documents fundraising efforts by the Shakespeare Memorial National Theatre.

The file includes administrative records such as lists of names and corresponding amounts donated and a receipt book for donations covering the years 1910-1916. Crrespondence with or about private donors supporting the National Theatre project and the building of the theatre, and a small amount of correspondence about the possibility of obtaining assistance from trusts or a foundations.
