Administrative / Biographical History
The Shakespeare Association was founded in connection with the Shakespeare Tercentenary and aimed to promote and support Shakespearean study and research and to promote the celebration of the Shakespeare Day. Chairman of the Shakespeare Association was Israel Gollancz.
