Administrative / Biographical History
The Middle Combination Room (MCR) at Clare is the home of c300 graduate students studying for Masters or Doctorates in the Arts and Sciences. (There is an equivalent JCR (the UCS) for those studying for undergraduate degrees, and an SCR for the Fellows, established academics who run the college).
A new MCR Committee is elected every year to represent the MCR members in College discussions.
All unpublished College records are subject to a 50-year closure period from date of creation, to protect the rights of third parties. Any material judged to contain sensitive personal data may remain closed for longer, at the discretion of the College.
