Scope and Content

The collection contains account books relating to the operations of St Katherine's Farm. There are books listing sums inwards and outwards, 1819-1829; the debit and credit of Samuel Tusting, 1821-1870; and the account current, 1819-1823, and sums outwards, 1819-1821, of Thomas Clater. These papers are supplemented by bundles and loose papers, 1805-1852, comprised of financial records, such as additional accounts, bills, receipts, cheques, and details of pay and expenditure; building plans; leases; records of operations; details of stocks and shares; and plans for a threshing machine.

Administrative / Biographical History

St Katherine's Farm in Eastville, Lincolnshire, was owned by John Trotter of Durham Park. His tenants included Thomas Clater and Samuel Tusting.

Open for consultation by holders of a Reader's Ticket valid for the Manuscripts Reading Room.
