Letter: Robert Lloyd, Tregayan, to Robert Lloyd Jones Parry, Llwyn Onn, Wrexham, Denbighshire

Scope and Content

LETTER: Robert Lloyd, Tregayan, to Robert Lloyd Jones Parry, Llwyn Onn, Wrexham, Denbighshire who is suffering from rheumatism. Robert Lloyd is also not well and has strengthening plaster on his breast. He regrets not having left Britain 12 years ago when he had the chance of going to a friend in Nova Scotia where he could have settled as a solicitor. He thanks him for getting the piano, which perhaps will amuse Mrs Lloyd when he is master at Tregayan. He continues to improve the estate having nothing to spend any surplus profits on except Ann whom he wants to stay with Mrs Babington until she is fifteen and then sent to earn her livelihood. He comforts himself that although he experienced 8 years folly and brought disgrace upon himself he was not the first nor the last person to do so but only more unfortunate.
