LETTER: Fred Lloyd, Atherton Estate, Port Dickson, Malay Peninsular to his father, advising him not to invest in Sungei Salaks until the price has dropped a little. He recommends buying Consolidated Malay shares which would bring in 11% return and are bound to increase in value very soon. He reports that the 1909 crop was so good that he has been given a bonus with which he intends to buy a motor bike. He informs him that Davidson is opening up a rubber place of 300 acres which he is going to run as a syndicate. Fred Lloyd and his father are invited to contribute 1/6 of the required capital of £6,600 with an expected return in 5 years of £1,500 on an investment of ½.
