EPITOME OF WILL dated 14th Dec. 1912 and codicil dated 15th March 1912 of Col. Ralph John Aspinall, of Standem Hall nr. Clitheroe, co. Lancaster, esq. He bequeathed legacies of £10,000 to Mrs. Aspinall, £32,000 to his eldest son, John Ralph Aspinall, £7,000 to his younger sons and smaller sums to other relatives and servants. He devised "The Mount" Great Glen, Leicester and his interest in Storey Farm, Hendon, Middlesex to his son Geoffrey; the Streathon and Tooting Estate, Surrey and No. 30 Queens Gate Terrace, Kensington, No. 45 Queensgate Mews, Kensington, Middlesex and his share in the Randle forest Estate to his eldest son. The remainder of his personal estate was to be sold and the money invested for the benefit of his wife and sons after the eldest. The Codicil increased the amount to be invested in trust for his sons from £20,000 to £40,000. Executors and trustees: Thomas Edward John Lloyd, his brother-in-law and Walter Beaumont Heygate, his cousin.
