Scope and Content

LETTERS OF ADMINSTRATION granted to William Charles Gage, esq. to administer the will of Julia Gage of Ballarena.

COPY WILL attached, dated 9 Jan. 1839. She bequeaths all her possessions to her son Conolly Gage, in trust to dispose of as follows: £50 to her son James Sterling Gage, £500 to her son Rodson Gage £500 to her son Marcus Gage of Streeve Hill, £500 to her son Robert Gage, £500 to her son William Charles Gage, £600 and whatever money is in the Savings Bank to Julia and John Marcus Stewart, the children of her daughter Julia and Sir Hugh Stewart. To her daughters-in-law and her son-in-law she gives £50 each. She gives her clothes to her daughter Theodosia, who together with Conolly Gage is made residuary legatee. Other small monetary bequests are made to members of her family by a codicil dated 9 Jan. 1839.
