CORRESPONDENCE: Col. and Mrs Yale of Plas yn Yale, Corwen, and Mr Richard Barker, Chester, concerning
1. the refusal of Miss McGregor to pay the costs incurred in the Trust case. Mr Barker admits it is annoying but suggests that things would have been very serious if Mrs McGregor had filed a hostile bill. However the Colonel writes that he intends to take steps to force payment after he returns from a visit to Germany. Mr Barker offers to waive his own expenses except out of pocket ones.
2. the appointment by Mrs Clapham of Mr Durham as co-trustee with Mr Barker of the colonel's father's will. Col. Yale is indignant at the suggestion that he should pay the expenses of this.
3. Mr Barker's son, who hasn't been admitted to the Guards at the age of 14, in spite of the colonel's help.
4. mortgage repayments and the problems of investing money because of a drop in funds due to the war.
