Letter: Robert Lloyd, Tregayan, to Robert Lloyd Jones Parry, Llwyn Onn, Wrexham, co. Denbigh

Scope and Content

LETTER: Robert Lloyd, Tregayan, to Robert Lloyd Jones Parry, Llwyn Onn, Wrexham, co. Denbigh informing him of his plans to make Tregayan comfortable for him and his father but he must reside there for 2 months p.a. and take the name of Lloyd only. He asks him to ask his father to purchase a piano for him while in London. He says that his friends were sorry to see him so ill on his return to Anglesey and that the two rectors warned Mrs Hughes that he would die if she didn't take good care of him. He is busy superintending work on a new place for melons and cucumbers. George Roose has advised him to remodel all his concerns as so many codicils might lead to confusion. He indicates that a large sum of money is to be bequeathed out of the family to a person who will be grateful for being made independent for life. He expresses doubts about the election of a liberal at the head of the Chapter at Exeter whom he thinks has been sent there to annoy the old rank.
