Written whilst Pippa was still abroad. Describes the family Christmas and the presents she received and the concerts she went to: the Messiah at the Albert Hall, a Ballad concert and an organ recital. Tells of her father coming up for his meeting in Cannon Street 'Have you seen accounts of it in the Times?' 'This half year has been simply brilliant and the results are splendid' Dorothy is suffering from acute depression 'she never speaks a word and sits immersed in gloom all day'. She (Pernel) gives Marjorie and Lytton 'the most weird sort of music lessons'. Sent from Lancaster Gate.
