Handwritten letters from Leonard Sheldrake to his business partner and fellow evangelist William J. Pell, mostly concerning the activities of the Gospel Folio Press. One of the letters has a typescript letter attached from J.W. Swarz to Sheldrake. Included among the letters is a typescript article by Richard Sheldrake entitled 'A word of exhortation', a detailed handwritten list (possibly a list of themes for preaching), a short note in verse form [the words of a hymn?], a handwritten draft of a 'Notice' advertising the magazineWords of Peace, and a brief typescript note citing Sheldrake's intention to obtain '10,000 French testaments for Quebec'.
Most of the letters are undated. There is an envelope with one letter dated 1923, and a letter dated 14 Dec 1922; the last letter in the bundle is dated 23 Sep 1936.
