The records can include minute books, financial statements, correspondence, copies of planning applications, and rate lists. Community councils replaced parish councils under the local government reorganization in 1974. The parish of Penrice was in the county of Glamorgan, until local government reorganisation in 1974, when it became part of West Glamorgan. Penrice Parish Council was replaced by Penrice Community Council in 1974.
