Sydney H. Clague-Smith worked in Tanganyika as Principal, Teacher TrainingSchool, Western Province (Moravian Mission), also Education Secretary ofthe Mission, 1937-1943. He was Education Secretary for Moravian educationalwork in the Southern Highlands, 1940-1943 and Honorary Secretary of theEducation Committee of the Tanganyika Missionary Council, 1942-1952. He servedas Secretary to the Kinampanda Alliance Teacher Training Centre, Rungwe,1947-1952 and Education Secretary General to the Non-Roman Missions ofTanganyika, 1953-1962.
