Administrative / Biographical History

The Royal Architectural Museum (RAM) building was completed in 1869 at number 18, Tufton Street, Westminster, London. The RAM subsequently renewed the lease in 1880, along with numbers 14, 16 and 20 Tufton Street. The leases of the adjoining properties, numbers 35-39 Great Smith Street, were also acquired c.1890 for the creation of classrooms for the Westminster School of Art.
