Scope and Content

Contains material relating to the affairs of the South Wales section of the Institute of Metals. There are minute books, financial records and correspondence and papers, including general and committee meetings books, an attendance register, financial statements, a receipt book, cheque books, bank statements, claims for expense, and correspondence and papers relating to the annual meeting.

The South Wales section of the Institute of Metals was based in Swansea from 1922 to 1967.

Presented to the College Library (now Library and Information Services) in October 1986 by a retired member of the Metalurgical Department, University College of Swansea (now University of Wales, Swansea).
