J. D. Denton-Jones of Rhos-on-Sea, north Wales was a Councillor and a leading member of the Standing Committee on the Staggering of Holidays in England and Wales. The aim of the committee was to facilitate the staggering of holidays and the changing of bank holiday dates, with a view to benefiting the tourist trade.
