Administrative / Biographical History
Seaman [1911-1986] studied history at Downing College and became a secondary school teacher; he also taught at summer schools and was an examiner. He was the author of several history books, including From Vienna to Versailles, Post-Victorian Britain and A New History of England 410-1975.
