Groups include: patients waiting for and receiving treatments including eye wash, patients arriving in canoes; anti-yaws intravenous injections; nurses and trainee nurses; nurses in chapel; Headman and family; lepers outside hospital and working in garden; nurses in training school; nurses sitting exam; orphans; nurses off-duty, one in hand made dress. People include: Sister P Copeland; Sister P Crawford; child with Yaws disease; Ini mowing grass; Sister Connie ?Petrie; Doctor Thompson; Sister Curtis; D Bartlett; Mrs Harvey and baby Ian; Nurse Muriel; Sister Phyllis Talbot; May Moore; Line Esu Siro, first Melanesian nurse to qualify; Miss Curtis. Events include: Archdeacon H V C Reynolds at nursing graduation. Activities include: Sister Osborne and Nurse Fanny on ward round; women doing laundry; feeding children; doctor, possibly Dr Thompson performing operation; laying and demonstrating piped water supply; building tuberculosis ward; weighing baby in Lomax dispensary; Doctor C Hemming and Sisiter Petrie perfoming operation; transporting patent on hospital trolley; roofing hospital ward; bathing babies.
