Scope and Content

The Collection contains Professor Trow's transcript of Dr Richardson's Directions for Welsh plants to Dr John Jac Dillenius, being plants observed in a journey from Gloucestershire and Shropshire by Dr Dillenius with Mr Samuel Brewer in 1726 [pp.16-47], together with Mr Brewer's diary 1726-7 [pp.48-127]. Transcribed from the original preserved in Oxford.

The Collection also contains an annotated copy of The Flora of Cardiff (1886) by John Storrie, curator of the Cardiff Museum; The London catalogue of British Plants (1877); drawings by A.H. Trow for an article in the Annals of Botany, vol.XIII.
