Scope and Content

The collection consists of material from the various educational forums and committees with which Stuart W MacDonald was involved. This includes: Consultative Committee on the Curriculum Item Bank 1982-1990. Consultative Committee on the Curriculum Item Bank, originally held in Dundee.This was established to provide resource materials for schools in art and design. It was incomplete upon deposit upon comparison with the printed catalogue. No attempt has been made to arrange the item bank as per the catalogue, since the catalogue had no logical or explained arrangement itself. Material is catalogued at item level, and includes some slides and a video, as well as study packs, teachers notes, examples of the kind of work produced in the schemes and teaching aids.

Stuart W MacDonald was the Senior Advisor for the Strathclyde Region Educational Development Service . Part of his role as senior advisor was to sit on various educational committees and forums including the Consultative Committee on the Curriculum Item Bank - an art projects resource bank for schools.
