From the Horsefair in Bristol, to Martha Hall at the house of William Wright in Frith Street near Saint Anne's Church, Westminster. Martha should write for advice re her son Wesley [Hall] to John Wesley in Ashby, Leicestershire. Their brother will probably be in London in two or three weeks, but she should write anyway, and ask 'Whether he would be willing to signify his pleasure to John Jones'[re the boy's education]. It is a pity that Martha's son should have to lose time like this.
If Sarah Wesley gets over her 'trial', they intend to leave Bristol not knowing if they shall ever return. William Wright and Martha should keep this news to themselves.
'The Lord bless you & be better …. than ten husbands'.
