From W. Linley at Furneval's Inn in London, to [Charles] Wesley junior, asking him to enquire if Samuel Wesley is aware that the £5 Linly sent to him via Charles was a loan, because if so Linley has a proposal to make which would not only clear the debt, but also result in Linley owing Samuel £5.
He knows that Samuel's lectures begin in March, but has forgotten the exact date.
Has Charles heard yet from Mr Pottitt about Charles's hymn? Pottitt has not written to Linley on the subject.
In a postscript he complains that Samuel has not written to him in a long time.
