From Marylebone, London, to Sally Wesley at the house of Miss Harris in Ship Street, Brighton, Sussex. She was relieved to hear that Sally and Charles have interrupted their journey, as Sally needs time to recover from her bowell complaint. Sarah herself is on the mend after a similar problem. She trusts that Charles will not be disappointed in his meeting with the Prince Regent.

Reference is made to various friends in London, namely Miss Boswell, Mrs Spilsbury, Mrs Mity, and Sarah's neice.
